That same year, within 24 hours of g to Warner, the band recorded the first version of "Kiss Me", which was a flop in the UK but became a US club hit on Sire in 1983. A re-recorded version was released in the UK in 1984, the same year Duffy went solo as Stephen "TinTin" Duffy and recorded a third version with the help of J.J. Jeczalik. That version was released in 1985 and became a huge club hit.
