John Zoiner

NYC based photographer (May 28, 1938 - October 30, 2020).

John Zoiner began his studies majoring in Industrial Design at the University of Kansas and completed his studies in fine art and photography at Pratt Institute . He learned is craft by taking photographs of a variety of subjects world-wide. He later began his freelance photography career from his home base in New York. Through-out his career, he has traveled the globe creating photographs for company ments, annual reports, editorial projects and brochures. Many of his photographs have appeared in Newsweek, Business Week, Time, Fortune, Wall Street Journal and Trade Publications World-Wide. Among his accomplishments he has won awards for: The One Show, Art Directors Club of New York Merit Awards, Art Directors Club of New York Andy Awards, Art Directors Club of New Jersey Gold Medal, Art Directors Club of Connecticut Gold Medal, Cover/'CATCH THE EYE' Certificate of Excellence American Institute of Graphic Arts Creativity Awards, Mead Library of Ideas Award of Excellence.

He published a 3 volume work of hundreds of his photographs called Five Decades of World Travel (2019).

As far as the record industry, it appears he only did one cover for Blue Note - Wayne Shorter - Schizophrenia.
