Jerry Wexler

American journalist, producer and songwriter.
Father of Lisa Wexler.
After being Billboard editor in the postwar years, he ed Atlantic in 1953.
With Nesuhi Ertegun, he helped the label
to become one of the major players in the music industry.
Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
Retired from the music business in the late 90s.
