British female vocalist whose 1989 debut album 'Affection' spawned pop and club hits such as 'All Around The World' and 'People Hold On'. 1991's 'Real Love' was another success. The singer enjoyed success on the British pop charts as well as the U.S. R&B charts well into the nineties, scoring a #1 hit on the latter with 'All Woman' and continues to record and perform well beyond the millennium.
The career of Stansfield starts already in 1980, in the then successful TV casting show "Search for a Star". She wins the show's contest and starts her career as singer and TV presenter in the age of 14. In her TV show "Razzmtazz", she meets other young stars, for instance the young Ricky Gervais.
After problems to stay on the ground due to this early success, she quits the TV show and founds her first band Ian Devaney, who is in relationship with Lisa for the last years, marries her in 1998.

She is married to schoolmate Ian Devaney, with who she recorded her first demo tape.
