Proyecto Uno

It was the first group to devote themselves to merge merengue and hip-hop, although in the eighties Wilfrido Vargas' orchestra had dabbled in merengue-rap fusions.

The group was founded in 1989 by Porfirio "Popi" Piña.

The present are Another Night.

After them came other groups with similar characteristics as their compatriots El Cartel.
