D époque vinyl e trois fois. Pochette état moyen. Un peu froissée. Reste un vinyl 45t rare -

I hope Wood Jackson will make it to a still to be released late-Bowie-years compilation on vinyl. Great song, deserves more release formats. And way too expensive to buy now on a 7-inch. -

I wasn't a big fan of Bowie's stuff from the 2000s, but I often enjoyed the singles. When Slow Burn came out, a friend working at a record store brought in a bunch of these and told me to buy a few because his prediction was they were going to be worth something some day. I bought 4 (they were $8 each) and kept one for myself. I think I held onto them for about 12-13 years before finding they didn't go up all that much in value. Probably sold them for $10 each sealed. Who knows what happened in the last few years but now they're worth about $100 each?! Anyway- that's just a small aside. It's a good single, and so is Wood Jackson- which didn't appear on the album. Sometimes you learn from hindsight, and sometimes it takes 15 years for that hindsight to show up. -

My copy, labeled "Made In: " was clearly mastered from MP3 or some other lossy source. This is not a comment on the quality of the musical performance, but on the mastering quality. The label on the CD itself is clearly an official pressing from the label - not a CD-R. If you're like me, and you prefer HD or at least CD quality, instead of lossy online streaming, then this CD isn't really any better.
(I purchased this to hear Matt Chamberlain on drums)
For reference, I purchased the HD version of Black Star in 24-bit / 96 kHz, and it sounds amazing! -

This is the best of the cd singles from the Heathen album - 5 tracks, all awesome, this is basically half an album! Only could be improved if they had put a single/radio edit of Slow Burn on it, or a remixed version. Preferably by someone who knows what they are doing. -

The perfect set of singles: Slow Burn 7" orange vinyl, Hallo Spaceboy 7" pink Vinyl, Strangers When We Meet 7" green vinyl. [All matching brown sleeves.]
I mention this because of the weird Bowie craze now he has gone to the beyond. All these singles were done whilst Bowie was largely 'forgotten', a period lasting about two decades where he continued to produce fantastic music.
